Interior Alaska Not Favorable For Renewables

Poor Air Quality

Coal, diesel, naphtha power generation, automotive, shipping, and wood burning have caused poor air quality conditions.

Marginal Wind Quality

Interior Alaska region has unfavorable wind quality, creating a challenging environment for renewable energy sources that rely on wind.

Marginal Solar Quality

The lack of adequate sunlight makes the Interior Alaska region not ideal for energy that relies on solar quality and insolation.
